This is an invitation to all Loon Lake property owners to join together to protect and develop our Lake Community and its Resources. A strong and active Lake Association will maintain and further a fantastic lifestyle. Your interest, knowledge, and effort will make it happen -- "Join Now".
What is the Loon Lake Association, Inc.?
It is a Michigan domestic non-profit corporation. The Association is set up to be run by the membership and is dedicated to the protection, preservation and continued improvement of Loon Lake, Plainfield Township, Hale, MI. This includes protecting the natural beauty and security of the lake and its watershed through conservation, education, information and other appropriate methods.
What does all this really mean?
Operating Loon Lake Association as an active organization including a board, committees and task groups that can represent and promote the interests of the property owners on the lake.
Working with the Township, County, State (including DNR) and other area lake associations on any items of interest to the Loon Lake community such items as zoning, weed treatment, sewers, roads, lake parks size and maintenance, lake quality, geese control, Loon protection.
Establishment and promotion of social events that promote a closer community.
Communication to and from members on all issues of interest.
How will the Loon Lake Association communicate to the membership?

calendar of events and a membership photo area. (Feel free to submit photos) Plus Links to sites of interest.

Newsletters published throughout the year as appropriate.
Annual spring (Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend) and fall (Saturday of Labor Day weekend) with member discussion and
voting.
How will the Loon Lake Association operate?
A Leadership Board of 7 to 11 members proposed by the Nominating Committee and approved by the Association membership at the annual meeting.
General direction voted on by the membership and detailed/acted on by the Board.
Permanent and temporary committees led by Board members with additional volunteers from the membership.
What does it take to be a member?
Ownership of a lot that has Loon Lake lake/canal frontage or deeded lake front access and can be identified by a Tax ID number (can be found on tax notices).
Paid up membership dues (currently $20 per year with discounts available for multi year payments)
